On the 19th of March was held the presentation of the projects related to transparency and open government presented at A. Ortuño 2014 awards in the hall of the EAPC.
The Director of the EAPC, Ms. de Vehí, presented the conference which combined a talk of Alexander Heichlinger, an expert in e-government at the European Institute of Public Administration of Barcelona and a round table, moderated by Sandra Lomas Pena, technician of the Health Ministry of the Generalitat de Catalunya and a member of the XIP, the public innovation network.
The talk was focused on the European best practices and in the round table the experiences of open government in Catalonia were discussed.
Transparency and open government
Mr. Heichlinger’s talk was entitled “An open or closed government? European practices”. The talk was very interesting and there were many interventions related to public innovations at the end of the event.
The round table was constituted by Àngels Salas Alonso, manager of Sant Feliu de Llobregat City Council, who presented “A global strategy of open government”, Pere Rodríguez Rodríguez, technician of Diputació de Barcelona, who presented the “Associative Dinamization 2.0” and Carles Peidró i Garcia, technician of Barcelona City Council, who explained the “Evaluation of community development plans”.
Finally, Mireia Plana, Head of the Research, Documentation and Publications Unit in the EAPC, closed the event with a summary of the interventions and she encouraged attendees to participate in the blog of the EAPC in order to promote innovation, networking and best practices in public administration.
